This plant has large flattened ovoid pseudobulbs that can reach 7 inches in size.
The two pleated broad somewhat stiff leaves are 16 to 20 inches in length. The flower spikes emerge at the same time new growths are developing.
The spikes are 24 to 30 inches in length and bear 15 to25 3 to 4 inch flowers that are colored in green with very black markings in the lip.
Site: 50% or higher is ideal. This plant prefers low to medium light
Temperature: This plant likes intermediate to warm temps with winter nights not falling below 62° Fahrenheit and days being in the 70s as a minimum. Summer temps can be several degrees warmer.
Water: Water as the mix approaches dryness but do not allow the mix to become completely dry between watering
